Meet the provider

Dr. Carlos Estevez, DPT has more than 20 years of experience in military medicine, serving in a wide variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, primary care outpatient clinics, a federal medical prison, and a military service academy. His military career concluded at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Clinic in Yorktown, Virginia.

Throughout his career, Dr. Estevez has compassionately cared for a diverse patient population ranging from military pilots, special operations personnel, and elite collegiate athletes to medically complex federal inmates with serious neurological disorders and multiple comorbidities. He has been performing electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) studies since 2009 and has extensive experience evaluating mononeuropathies, plexopathies, radiculopathies, polyneuropathies, and selected myopathies.

Dr. Estevez earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He is dual board certified in Clinical Electrophysiology and Orthopedics and is a Fellow in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Estevez has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts on mild traumatic brain injury management and musculoskeletal injuries in athletic and military populations.

His military and professional honors include two U.S. Coast Guard Meritorious Service Medals, the Therapist of the Year Award, the U.S. Public Health Service Junior Officer of the Year Award, Josef Hoog Award for his contributions to clinical research.

Dr. Estevez is committed to providing accurate, evidence-based electrodiagnostic evaluations to assist referring providers in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders.
